Background

Grigoris Avanidis was born in Drama and has been living in Thessaloniki lately. He has studied journalism, has done many seminars on alternative tourism and family entertainment and specializes in the field of organizing large theme parks and events for more than 20 years.

The first Christmas park in Greece, Drama Dreamland (800,000 visitors in 40 days) started in 2004 and 5 years later the Mill of the Elves in Trikala (1,000,000 visitors in 40 days) followed.

Today he is the project manager at Dream-Workers, a company that has created the most successful theme parks in Greece (the Chocolate Factory and Museum in Athens and Thessaloniki with a total of 600,000 tickets in 18 months, the Secret Worlds of Eugene Trivizas with 150,000 tickets in 3 months in Thessaloniki, the Inventions and Musical Instruments of Ancient Greeks with 220,000 visitors in 3 months in Thessaloniki, etc.).

The Chocolate Factory is the first theme park in Greece to start an international “career” as in November 2017 it opened its gates in Rome.

Dream-Workers was awarded the best creative team in Greece at the first event of the Event Awards.
